| Sales Executive / Account Manager (Media / Advertising) Our client is one of the largest publishers of regional newspapers in the UK with 300 titles in its portfolio. It has a specialist arm, which publishes both commercial and business to business titles. Position: Media Sales Consultant Location: Petts Wood, Orpington, London Salary: Up to 17.5k Basic + Up to 20% Bonus. Benefits: Company Car, 25 days holiday, comprehensive training package. ROLE: Our client now requires a full time media sales consultant to join the team. The successful candidate will be required to maximise revenue and provide outstanding customer service, managing new and existing customers. This will include presenting our clients products within a defined territory, ensuring that customers are kept up to date with all advertising opportunities, and developing creative ideas to ensure customers receive the best response from their advertising. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) To resolve customer queries in a professional and efficient way within 48 hours of receipt. b) To generate new business via cold canvassing and canvassing of competitive media and to maximise existing accounts. c) To maintain a high level of customer care. d) To effectively cross sell across the portfolio of titles. e) To present and sell digital media at every opportunity. f) To accept responsibility for the development of a territory/category and the implementation of new ideas to generate revenue. g) To sell the creative use of colour at every opportunity ensuring correct surcharge is applied for guarantees. h) To assist customer by advising on copy writing, copy presentation and advertisement design, ensuring all advertisements are of the highest standard. i) To ensure every advertisement is correctly invoiced either on account or prepaid with payment collected by required deadline. j) To attend sales meetings as required. ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE a) Experience within a B2B sales role. b) A full UK driving licence is required. c) Applicants must be self motivated, target-driven and creative. d) Excellent customer service skills and an ability to manage your own workload are essential. e) You must consider yourself capable of delivering your sales targets within tight deadlines as well as an ability to work well in a team. f) Strong IT and communication skills are a must. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Experience of Media Sales or Advertising Sales.
